In this apartment block, CAREA’s two systems have been used: cladding with and without subframe. The cladding with subframe was applied for wall bases affected by high traffic, whereas the upper parts and less frequented parts use the more economical cladding system without backing structure (CWoB).
This also made it possible to have a variety of looks (3 different finishes used here) in order to create a dialogue between the different parts of the building: DUNE and SMOOTH-look cladding without subframe used jointly with RHODES-look cladding with subframe (crinkled paper).
